The Moonlight Ramble® has been held each year for over 46 years. It is a signature fundraising event for the region, garnering worldwide attention and exposure. Proceeds are used for travel education, recreational programs, and development of a world-class hostel in St. Louis. The Moonlight Ramble(R) will be held on August 21-22, 2010 during the "almost" full moon, starting in Forest Park. Moonlight Ramble® typically draws more than 10,000 riders. The ride itself begins just past midnight and follows a short (9 miles) or a long (19 miles) route through the streets of Saint Louis. In 2004, the route also passed into Saint Louis County for the first time.

Activities before and after the ride, distinctive glow-in-the-dark commemorative T-shirts, plus the chance to be part of a unique spectacle draw recreational cyclists of all ages and skill levels, many of them returning year after year.
