Your participation in a HI-USA Gateway Council event is based on your acknowledgement of and agreement to the following conditions. Please read this carefully:

I realize there are dangers inherent in outdoor activities and that mortal or serious personal injuries and property damage may occur. I assume full responsibility for the risk of personal injury, death, and property damage due to negligence or carelessness of the parties released by this document. On my own behalf and behalf of my heirs, personal representatives and assignees, I hereby release HI-USA Gateway Council and other employees, volunteers, officers, directors, and sponsors from claims, demands, and actions or rights of action or other legal rights to claim compensation for any loss or injury which occurs while participating, going to, or coming from such an activity. I agree to indemnify and hold all parties released by this document harmless from such claims and demands. I expressly agree that this release and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the state of Missouri and of any other state wherein such activities may occur, and that if any portion hereof is held invalid, the remainder hereof shall continue in full force and effect. I grant to HI-USA Gateway Council and HI-USA Gateway Council sponsors and licensees the exclusive right to the free use of my name, my voice and/or my picture in any broadcast, telecast, advertising, promotion or other account of this event for legitimate purposes. I also understand that HI-Gateway Council requires an ANSI or SNELL approved helmet be worn at all times while on a bicycle.
